Theater, cinema and TV series actor. Born in Izmir, 1968. He is the brother of writer and translator Coşkun Büktel. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Acting. He performed at Sadri Alışık Theater for many years.

In addition to his theater works, Metin Büktel has acted in many films and series since 2003 such as Baba, Fifth Dimension, Innocent Not We, Doctors, Last Choice, Towards Our Own School, Kollama, After the Rain, Balkan Wedding, Osman IV, Ad Adı Adı Adı Feriha Koydum, Lost Wanted, Umutsuz Ev Kadınları, İnsan Deceived, Fatih Nizama Adanmış Ruhlar, Oflu Hocanın Şifresi, Bizim Hikaye, Aliya, Nehir. He continues to take part in new projects.
