Home Lightning Chapter 9 Summary:

Namık bleeds for Muazzez. His guilty conscience will haunt him and Muazzez every second for having caused this incident. While Muazzez is trying to find a way to cope with her overlapping troubles, she starts to think about Halil's marriage proposal. As soon as Şayeste hears the news of this marriage proposal, she pressures Muazzez in front of the whole family. Namık, thinking that Muazzez has seduced him, shocks his wife by telling Şayeste "if necessary, you will leave this house". Sait tries to dissuade Muazzez from this marriage proposal as it will turn her whole world upside down. Muazzez thinks that saying yes to Halil will put all her problems behind her, but Namık is clear that they cannot be happy. Namık even goes one step further and walks on Halil to talk him out of it. After all, he even risks getting blood on his hands for her. However, what comes out of Muazzez's lips narrows Namık's field of action considerably.
