He was born in Istanbul. He is the son of theater and cinema artists Metin Serezli and Nevra Serezli. He studied at Mimar Sinan University, Department of Architecture. Since his school years, he has worked in 3D Animation, computer programming, voice-over and directing. While working, he attracted more and more attention with the commercials he played from time to time. The 4 commercials he shot for Profilo Small Household Appliances were successful, remembered for years and became one of the most loved commercials. He won a Crystal Apple. The very next year, the Commissar Kemal typecast he created for Axess was also highly acclaimed and those commercials also won the Crystal Apple.

Murat Serezli, whose adventure in front of the screen accelerated gradually, moved away from special effects, 3D animation and directing behind the camera and turned to acting and presenting.
