Engin Akyürek, who graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language and History-Geography, Department of History, stepped into the art world by winning the first place in the competition program called Turkey's Stars. After the end of the competition, he joined the cast of the TV series Yabancı Nehirat. Between 2004 and 2007, Akyürek played the character Kadir Sadıkoğlu in the TV series Yabancı Nehirat, and in 2006 he played the character Cevat in the movie Kader. Between 2007 and 2008, he appeared in front of the camera with the role of Nizipli in the TV series Karayılan, which was broadcast on Atv. In 2009, he played the character of Mustafa Bulut in the TV series Bir Bulut Olsam and finally played the character of "Kerim Ilgaz" in the TV series Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? for two seasons between 2010-2012.
