Barış Yalçın was born on January 1, 1976 in Germany. He is the son of famous theater actor Avni Yalçın and actress Ayşegül Devrim, brother of actor Devrim Yalçın and grandson of İhsan Devrim, known for his role as Yakup Dede in the TV series 'Super Dad'.

His first acting experience was with the role of Umut Tanrıyar in the series Böyle mi Olacaktı. In 2002, he appeared in the production called Beşibiryerde, in the series Üç Kadın (Three Women) in 2005, and in the popular series Emret Komutanım (My Commander), which ranked among the comedy series of 2005, he appeared in front of the camera with the character of Ensign Ethem.
