Ahu Sungur was born on February 5, 1981 in Istanbul. She graduated from Academy Istanbul Theater Department. After graduating from the school, she took part in various plays at Semaver Kumpanya, Theater Çisenti and Theater Kedi. Most recently, she shared the lead roles with Semih Sergen in the play Bir Komiser Geldi (A Commissioner Came) staged in this theater.
Ahu Sungur married Suat Sungur in 2002. In 2005, after having a child, she took a break from acting for a while. Sungur first starred in the series Ayrılsak da Beraberiz in 1999, starring Hakan Yılmaz and Janset. She played the role of Çağatay Ulusoy's mother in the TV series Ad Adı Feriha Koydum and its sequel Emir'in Yolu, and the character of Hülya in the TV series O Hayat Benim.
