German-born Turkish actor who starred in popular comedy and drama series such as Doctors, Aşk Oyunu, Koçum Benim. Ergene, who was one of the most sought-after faces on television with her commercials as well as the TV series she starred in, surprisingly announced that she quit acting with a press release on January 10, 2010.
Yasemin Ergene was born in Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany, on January 22, 1985. Yasemin Ergene has a twin brother and an older brother. When Yasemin Ergene was 3 years old, her family returned from Germany and settled in Tekirdağ's Mürefte Town and completed her primary and high school education in this small and charming town. At the age of 15, she managed to stay among the last 10 finalists in the Gaye Sökmen Agency Elite Model Look competition. She also made it to the last 10 in the Miss Turkey contest in 2003.
Ergene, who completed his high school education in the village of Mürefte in Tekirdağ, received theater training at Müjdat Gezen Art Center after graduating from high school in order to step into the art world.
Ergene, who first appeared in front of the camera in the TV series Koçum Benim in 2002 and Ah Be Istanbul in 2004, had her first movie experience with the movie Vizontele Tuuba, which was released in 2004. Ergene, who took a break from acting for a short time after the filming of the TV series "You Have a Child, You Have a Problem", received diction training from Can Gürzap during this time.
In 2005, the character of Ekin Serbest, which she played in the TV series Aşk Oyunu (Love Game), rapidly increased the popularity of the beautiful actress. Ergene, who starred in the series with Keremcem, quickly became one of the most popular young actors in the country.
He also worked in commercials for brands such as Ecobella and Migros.
Ergene, who played the character of Ela Altındağ in the series Doctors between 2006 and 2010, announced that she ended her acting life after the end of this series. While it is thought that her husband, businessman granddaughter Izzet Özilhan, had a great influence on her quitting her acting life, the young actress stated in her statement that she ended her professional career in order to study at university.
Yasemin Ergene, who graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Public Relations Department, summarized the reasons for quitting acting with the following words;
I finished high school 7 years ago. My biggest dream was to go to university, but no one was encouraging me. İzzet was instrumental in this. He was always reading finance and economy magazines. Finance and economics started to interest me too. That's why I chose Bilgi University. I'm currently studying prep school. My education will last 5 years. After that age, no producer will work with me. Every day many producers call me and I tell them 'I am not acting anymore' and they are surprised. My school comes first for me.".
Yasemin Ergene married businessman İzzet Özilhan on July 16, 2011. She has two daughters, Emine (b.2012) and Ela (b.2013).
