Theater, cinema and TV series actor. Born on December 10, 1982 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Bahçelievler Trade Vocational High School and Haliç University Department of Theater and Acting. During his years as a student at the Conservatory, he started acting at Bakırköy Municipality Theaters. He continued to work in this institution after graduation.

Mercan, who acted in TV series and films as well as theater acting, became known for his character Zeki in the TV series "Suskunlar. He starred in series such as Asla Vazgeçmem, Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem Sultan and Kayıtdışı.
