Şebnem Köstem was born in Istanbul on August 7, 1969. She graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory. Before the theater department, she studied singing. Then she switched to the theater department and graduated in 1993.

In the same year, he joined Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters. In the meantime, he played as a guest actor in theaters such as Theater Studio, Theater Oyunevi, Aysa Production Theater.

In addition to theater acting, Şebnem Köstem also works as a film and TV series actor and voice actor.

Şebnem Köstem received the "Most Successful Actress of the Year" award at the 8th Afife Jale Theater Awards in 2004.
