Movie and TV series actor. She was born on February 23, 1988 in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, as her father was a diplomat. Her mother also worked as a specialist in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a while. Her family wanted her name to be Nil, but her grandfather said, "You must have a fairy in your name" after a dream he had. Nilperi emerged! She traveled to many countries and cities during her childhood; Duseldorf for 3 years, Paris for 4 years, Bern for 4 years, and when her parents divorced at the age of 15, she came to Turkey with her mother.

She started her education in Paris and graduated from Charles de Gaulle primary school in Paris in 1997. She completed her university education at Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in Ankara. She speaks German, French, Italian and English.
