Hale Soygazi
ale Soygazi was born on May 6, 1950 in Istanbul. After graduating from Erenköy Girls' High School, Hale Soygazi started her university education in the department of French Philology, but dropped out and went to Switzerland. After taking a modeling course in Switzerland, Hale Soygazi returned to Turkey and worked as a model and photomodel.
In 1972, she participated in the "Miss Turkey Contest" organized by Saklambaç Newspaper and won the first prize. After being selected as "Miss European Cinema" in Italy, she returned to Turkey and started to take roles in important productions of Turkish cinema.
The actor, who made his film debut with "Kara Murat: Fatih'in Fedaisi", the actress starred in the films "Bir Garip Yolcu", "Mahkum", "İtham Ediyorum", "Bir Kız Böyle Düştü", "Ölüme Koşanlar". The artist, who made a name for herself with the movies she starred in, married Ahmet Özhan in 1976, with whom she shared the lead role in the 1973 production titled "Çocuğumu İstiyorum". This marriage soon ended in divorce.
Hale Soygazi won the "Best Actress" award given by the Antalya Film Festival for the movie "Maden" in 1978. Soygazi managed to squeeze her music career in between her successful movie career. However, this situation did not go too far and she decided to devote herself only to acting.
In 1984, she returned to cinema, which she had taken a break from after 1978's Maden, by playing the lead role in Atıf Yılmaz's Bir Yudum Sevgi. After receiving the "Best Actress" award for the second time at the Antalya Film Festival for her performance in this film, she played rebellious women in the films Kadının Adı Yok and Bekle Dedim Gölgeye directed by Atıf Yılmaz. In 1997, she starred in the movie Usta Beni Öldürsene (Master, Kill Me) directed by Barış Pirhasan; the movie received 5 awards in different categories from various festivals. Soygazi was awarded with the "Lifetime Honor Award" at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 2004. In the same year, she starred in the TV series Sil Baştan.
He appeared on the theater stage for the first time in 2001 with the play "The Little Prince". In 2006, she starred in the play "A Special Day". She had a long-term relationship with director Barış Pirhasan and later married Murat Belge, one of Turkey's leading intellectuals, after a 10-year relationship.
