Erdoğan Sıcak was born on August 18, 1940 in Bakırköy.
He completed primary and secondary school in Bakırköy. During his years at Istanbul Boys' High School, he stepped onto the stage with ambitious plays. He started to show theater activities during his journalism education. In 1959, he received training at the theater school of master director Haldun Dormen. In the 1962/63 theater season, he was accepted to the troupe established by Ankara State Theater artist and director Saim Alpago in Istanbul with an exam and started his professional theater life. Erdoğan Sıcak, who worked as an actor and director in private theaters for years, played important roles in TV series first on TRT and then on private channels with the beginning of television broadcasts. In the meantime, he acted in many commercials and several feature films. He drew different characters in British, German, French, Japanese co-produced movies. Since 1959, he has worked as an actor, director and instructor in various theater companies. He wrote the scripts of many television series and staged many theater works from his own pen. He has also written award-winning humor stories, poems and lyrics.
