Theater actor and director, film and TV series actor. He is famous for his character "Behzat Ç.". He is the nephew of former Gençlerbirliği Sports Club President İlhan Cavcav.

He was born in Ankara on January 5, 1970, the first child of a civil servant father from Ünyeli and an Albanian mother from Ankara. He is the nephew of İlhan Cavcav, President of Gençlerbirliği Sports Club. His father was a manager at Vakıflar Bank. Due to his father's transfers, he started primary school in Ankara, then continued in Kayseri and Izmir. He attended high school at Izmir Private Turkish College and continued at Izmir Narlıdere Mehmet Seyfi Eraltay High School. He graduated from high school in Ankara.

In 1989, she entered Hacettepe University State Conservatory. During her conservatory education, she attended workshops on creative drama with "William Guskill". He graduated in 1993 and started working at the State Theater in the same year. In the 95-96 season, he worked as the acting director at Diyarbakır State Theater. He continued his duty at Ankara State Theater.

Between 2006 and 2008, he played the role of Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu in a series of films based on the novel of the same name written by the writer Ayşe Kulin and about the Başpınar Bridge, which Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu made great efforts to build during his governorship in Erzincan.

Erdal Beşikçioğlu, who was very popular in the cinema with the films The Governor and The Bridge, took part in the series Behzat Ç. An Ankara Detective between 2010 and 2013.

In 2014, Erdal Beşikçioğlu, İbrahim Çelikkol, Selen Soyder, Nehir Erdoğan, İsmail Demirci and Yurdaer Okur played the lead roles in the series "Kod Adı Reaksiyon".

Erdal Beşikçioğlu has been married to his conservatory classmate, actress Elvin Beşikçioğlu, since 1991. He has a daughter named "Derin" and a son named Ömer.
